High School Transition/Career Development
Transition planning is designed to help students think about their lives after high school and identify long-range goals and to design the high school experience to ensure that students gain the skills and connections they need to achieve those goals. Transition activities will facilitate appropriate in-school and community-based learning experiences that will help students to acquire needed skills for post-secondary education, competitive employment, and/or independent community living. Students will meet with representatives from local colleges and universities about services, explore career options, and meet with transition counselors to discuss post-high school options.
